Betsy L. Stewart is an Associate in Bailey & Wyant, PLLC’s Charleston office.
Betsy graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2008. While at WVU, Ms. Stewart was an active member of the national honors fraternity Phi Alpha Theta and studied abroad at Lingnan University in Hong Kong during her junior year.
Betsy received her Juris Doctorate from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in 2012. She served as the Vice President and Public Relations Chair of the Association of Women Law Students and participated in the law school’s Public Interest Practicum.
Prior to joining Bailey & Wyant, she interned at the Houston County Public Defender’s Office in Perry, Georgia and gained experience as a law clerk at Bailey & Wyant in the summer of 2010 and 2011.
Betsy practices in general litigation with a concentration in areas of civil rights defense, employment law, and education law. She is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and the United States District Court in the Southern District of West Virginia.
