Associate Attorney – Charleston, WV

Bailey & Wyant PLLC is looking to hire an attorney with 2+ years of defense litigation experience to join the firm in our Charleston, West Virginia office.  Bailey & Wyant is a nationally recognized law firm with a proven reputation for providing aggressive litigation representation to clients in West Virginia. 

The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.  They must be confident, highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a fast-paced office environment.

Summer Clerkship Program

Bailey & Wyant, PLLC offers a preeminent Summer Clerkship Program for law students finishing their first and second years of law school. During the program, clerks will be given the opportunity to work with a number of our highly accomplished attorneys in multiple practice areas. The firm provides invaluable experience to our law clerks through assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and will be given the opportunity to attend and learn firsthand what a litigation firm does.

Clerks will be heavily involved in the day-to-day process of legal research and writing, including drafting motions and other various pleadings. The law firm of Bailey & Wyant, PLLC encourages our law clerks to become involved in firm social events during the summer and provides other networking opportunities.

Summer clerks' salaries are competitive with other firms in the region. The summer program can be tailored to the individual clerk, but generally the program is 10 weeks during the summer, beginning within 1-2 weeks following the end of the spring semester of law school.
